The upcoming May 21 ROK-US summit has a significant meaning in determining the future international coordination and national prosperities for the Republic of Korea. As the summit is approaching, the Korean Retired Generals & Admirals Defending the Nation (KORGAD) earnestly demands the following four things:
First, the Moon Jae-in administration shall not continue to push back against our alliance and instead promise to restore the traditional ROK-US alliance as soon as possible. The Moon administration is throwing away the Republic of Korea’s true partner, the United States, who has fought for our survival and prosperity, and is trying to be allies with China, which is an ungrateful thing to do. It’s like throwing away a cushion of flowers and choosing a cushion of thorns.
Second, the Moon Jae-in administration is sinking towards socialism, so promise to withdraw from this anachronistic delusion to follow the North’s communistic and anachronistic civilization that is full of hunger, poverty, deprivation and human rights violations, mass production of weapons of mass destruction and instead pursue the free democratic ideology. Liberal democracy is the founding ideology of the Republic of Korea. It is an ideology that the Korean citizens have kept in their lives, and an ideology that the United States has cultivated and sacrificed on this land at great cost for it to grow.
Third, the Moon Jae-in administration must immediately halt the ‘propaganda and incitement of false peace’ that is being perpetrated by North Korea in the background and promise to truly stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the United States for substantial change in North Korea and its denuclearization. Moon Jae-in acted as North Korea’s spokesman for this false peace for over 4 years. In the history of the world, there has been no single case of real peace and denuclearization achieved through dialogue and negotiations with communist or rogue states.
Lastly, the Moon Jae-in administration shall lower its ‘Ethnic Cooperation Flag’ of communization policy and instead proudly raise the ‘Flag of ROK-US Cooperation’ that guarantees true security and prosperity of the Republic of Korea. The ROK-US alliance should not be about dancing together when it’s at a good place and threatening to break up when it’s not good, but the alliance determines the survival and prosperity of the Republic of Korea.

About Korean Retired Generals & Admirals Corps Defending the Nation (KORGAD)
KORGAD was established on January 30, 2019, as a non-profit, non-partisan, and private NGO concerned about national security. Its establishment was directly prompted by the Inter-Korean Military Agreement signed on September 19, 2018, which is believed to undermine the security capabilities of the ROK Armed Forces and threaten the ROK-U.S. Alliance that has provided the nation with a shield for security and prosperity. Its membership comprises some 800 patriotic South Korean retired generals and admirals including 8 former Defense Ministers and some 40 former four-star generals and civilian security experts. KORGAD, neither incorporated in or an agent of any government and/or a foreign principal, is solely supported by voluntary contributions of its members and strives to provide public services and enlighten the people pro bono publico in the area of national defense and security.
