-Uncompleted mission of US-ROK alliance
The US-ROK alliance is an alliance that fought against the lies of revolutionary socialism – communism. It is an alliance where the two share common values of freedom and truth. The noble sacrifice of Americans on the Korean peninsula has not been in vain. South Korea owes its growth and prosperity to American commitment and has testified to American values. We must continue to ‘go together’ in our shared values of freedom and truth. However, both the US and the ROK are in danger because they are deeply addicted to the lies of socialism. Through the tolerance and diversity of democracy, intellectuals took the opium of socialism and the public got poisoned. The situation looks similar to the one in China during the late Qing Dynasty when people got addicted to opium, which weakened society and resulted in dynasty collapse.
What makes America great? America’s strength lies in the fact that the vast majority of Americans have held the values of freedom and truth based on the Judeo-Christian worldview. However, this foundation is now being shaken to the roots. For capitalism, which is free market economy, to function properly, the market should run under the values of freedom and truth. Otherwise, the market will be distorted and degraded to mammonism. Indulged in relativism and secularism, America has lost its fundamental faith. Market without its core values is bound to be corrupted and dominated by blinded capital that ignores value and virtue. The power of money then overshadows the government, politics, media, businesses and every corner of its society. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) knows this well and is actively using it. Some even argue that the CCP is the current owner of Wall Street and the bribery payment to Americans is cheaper than expected. Hollywood, Silicon Valley, media and religious groups are no exceptions. The CCP uses capital to control capitalism and buy democracy. They are using capitalism to control America and spread communism. They buy everything they can. What could have been on their shopping list for this 2020 presidential election in the US?
After the Korean war, on July 28, 1954, our first President Syngman Rhee delivered a speech at the US Congress. He expressed his deepest gratitude to the US for bleeding together to defend freedom and truth on the Korean peninsular. However, he rebuked the US for leaving North Korea and China under the evil of communism and called for the US to end the armistice agreement. He was blamed for being a warmonger. However, history proves his foresight. In China, tens of millions of people died in the great famine and the Cultural Revolution. North Korea became the last slave state on earth. Although the Soviet Union collapsed, the opium of socialism still threatens us. Today, armed with massive capital, the CCP is leading attacks behind the scenes. As President Syngman Rhee pointed out that day, “Unless we win China back, the ultimate victory for the free world is unthinkable.”
America is at a crucial crossroads. History will remember America’s choice of today. As a US ally citizen, I hope that the US will remain a great country. This is a call to America because our freedom is inextricably bound to your freedom as an ally. America must stand as a great country to preserve the values of freedom and truth. This is the reason why America should be a great nation. We must protect a healthy market that embodies the values of freedom and truth. Otherwise, the market will be driven by lies and corruption and degraded to a tool justifying evil greed and lustful pleasure of those in power behind the scenes while enslaving common people. This is your mission, America. If you forget this solemn mission, we will all soon be under the CCP control.
To win this battle and make America great again, you must restore the very source of your strength inscribed in the backbone of America: trust and faith in God. It is impossible to explain America without mentioning God’s providence. Whatever the reason it may be, circumventing this fact leads to the fall of the country. The same goes for South Korea. The ROK’s foundation and growth was a miracle. It was a series of unprecedented events that one can only explain as a blessing of God. Despite persecutions and oppression under the Japanese imperialism, President Syngman Rhee, who laid the foundation for the US-ROK alliance, hoped to establish a Christian state following the example of the US, a land of freedom and a land of truth.
As an ally, standing together in this great battle, we must remember the mission that we have not yet completed. We must bring about the ultimate liberation of the people of North Korea and China who have become slaves under the falsehood of communism. We must start a new history on those lands in freedom and truth. It is a mission that we must finally achieve together.
